Step 1: Fill Out Our Questionaire
As a brand photographer, my responsibility is greater than just creating the perfect image–it’s also setting the tone and energy the day of shooing. It’s normal to have pre-photoshoot jitters and be a bit nervous so filling out this questionare gives me information about your unique needs and preferences so the day of, you can feel as comfortable and present as possible.
Depending on if you’re scheduling a personal or team branding session, we’ll make sure to send out the specific questionaire so we can learn things like what your favorite snacks are, if you drink alcohol, what sort of music makes you feel the most confident, and what are some sensitive body areas we should be conscious of when posing you.
Step 2: Schedule Your Production Call
The discovery call was all about understand your business needs, pain points, and developing a general solution around them. This call is all about uncovering what your final vision is and getting all the details of what will be needed for shoot day.
We’ll go deeper into your brand image/tone, whether a stylist or make-up artist needs to be on set, and what additonal crew/equipment will be needed to produce the results you want.
Production calls are typically scheduled within a week of your invoice being paid and someone from our team to work with you to find 30-minutes to go over all the details. They will happen at least a month before your shoot so we have time to plan and schedule everything needed.
Step 3: Receive Your Creative Brief
A few days after our production call, you’ll recieve a moodboard that visually reflects everything we’ve talked about. It’ll help you understand the aesthetics, posing, and different frames you’ll walk away with. If there will be video in your shoot, then we’ll also send over a storyboard that outlines each of the frames, the duration of the clips, the angles, and audio we’ll walk away with. These two things combined give you a creative brief that you can refer to and also includes a timeline so we can stay organized, on track, and walk away with everything we need after shooting together.
Step 4: Pre-Production
Depending on the package you selected, either we will be responsible for pre-production or you will be. Some things that are included in all of our packages are location scouting, crew / talent selection, and project management of all deliverables. We also offer add-ons for stylists, make-up artist, props/production set up, If you decide not to hire us for the later, we will provide you with guidelines and checklists to ensure that you’re fully prepared the day of shooting.
