In September 2025, Michigan Council for Maternal and Child Health launched Voices for Birth, a multimedia initiative designed to elevate the stories and expertise of Michigan families, healthcare providers, and communities to inform maternal and child health policy.

Grounded in research, storytelling, and lived experience, the project highlights critical issues including quality of care, communication, reproductive decision-making, and the experiences of underserved and special populations.

Fako Media was commissioned to lead full-scale production for the campaign, including the creation of a central brand video for advocacy, website, and social media use. In addition, we produced and conducted 15 in-depth interviews, each designed to spotlight a key issue within the maternal health landscape.

Our scope spanned the full production lifecycle—from interview planning and on-site production through post-production and final delivery—supporting the campaign’s goal of amplifying women’s voices through clear, intentional visual storytelling.
